"I like Ike"

Eisenhower's campaign slogan is one of the most memorable and effective, along with changing the way that campaign slogans were viewed from that point on. Most interesting, however, is the origins of "I like Ike". The slogan most famously originates from a song out of a Broadway musical titled, "Call Me Madam". However, there is much debate over where the writers of this play gained their inspiration. Keep reading below to learn more about the controversy.
